Shout out to GT Burlington and Lakemount Music

As I continue to meet more and more worship leaders and artists I am continually impressed and humbled by the commitment and talent I an encountering. This week’s shout out is actually to two churches pretty local to me here in Ontario. Glad Tidings in Burlington and Lakemount in Grimsby. They have collaborated on a new worship song that you can check out by clicking on the album pic. The song is called Fire and Wind.

Shout out to Royal Anthems

Something is stirring amongst the musical artist / leaders in the church in Canada. I have been talking about this for well over five years now, and finally launched eyesUP worship this year.

What I have found is this passion to create songs for the church is burning in many leaders, and many of them were brought together recently by Crossroads Communications in Burlginton, ON to form a collective of sorts and create music for the church.

So this is to point to, cheer on, and celebrate Royal Anthems first offering – “Thank You”.

You can find it on your favourite streaming here: Royal Anthem – Thank You.

Celebrating New Music (Jake Fretz, Dave Siverns, PAC Worship Collective)

One of the things that eyesUP worship believes in is that the musical artists of the church should be writing songs for their local church and beyond to celebrate what the Lord is doing in their lives and the life of their local Christian community. Our plan is to write and release songs as eyesUP Collective, but we want to encourage and celebrate Canadian Christian music leaders and artists who are already doing this now!

It is important to note that the reason we are passionate about writing songs is because it is Biblical. Psalm 33:3, Psalm 144:9, and many more verses encourage both the creation of songs and tell us the reasons why we should. Here is a great little blog post from Desiring God if you are interested in this topic.

So today we are celebrating Jake Fretz, Dave Siverns, and the PAC Worship Collective who have recently released “Your Song”. Jake and Dave collaborated in writing it, and you can listen to it here on your favourite streaming platform. You can also get the sheet music from PraiseCharts or Jake’s site above.

We have sung this song in our church (I attend where Dave leads) and I think it is a strong song for an opening call to worship. If you use it, let them know through their site to encourage them!
