Compelled is a worship conference for the Canadian church, by the Canadian church. We are passionate about raising up leaders in Canada, and our objective is to have local and national leaders build into you. One of the advantages of a conference with teaching through local leaders is the connection that continues after the conference. Everyone on our team is either serving in a local church, or serving the local church. When you make connections at Compelled, we are just a phone call or coffee away! There is something special happening in Canada right now, and our desire is to build our bench of leaders to respond to what God is doing right here at home.

Registration is Now Open!!
Compelled 2025 is on October 4th at Compass Point Bible Church.

Tech Teams Location: Youth Room
Keith Sparrow
Workshop: Tech Team – You Are Worship Leaders
Main Thought: The talk is a reminder that worship leadership goes far beyond those on the platform. It challenges the common perception of tech ministry as purely functional and instead reframes it as deeply formational and missional.
Keith is a worship pastor and communicator who’s passionate about engaging people in meaningful worship by drawing their full attention to Christ. With years of experience in church leadership, team building, and teaching, he loves seeing the church thrive through Gospel-centered worship and spiritual renewal.

Worship Leading Location: Commons
Cliff Cline
Workshop: How to Ad Lib as a Vocal Leader to Create a more Inspiring Worship Service

Josiah Rock
Workshop: Some grassroots methods of how to develop and encourage songwriting in your church.
Josiah is the Director of Worship Ministries at Mission City Bible Church in Brampton.

Guitar – Location:Stage
Dave Siverns
Workshop 2: Guitar for Worship
What’s better – a pedalboard or modeler, and should we ever use a 12 string acoustic at church? We’ll explore how guitar is being used in worship music today, and how can we improve what we’re doing with the people and equipment that we have. We’ll have some fun listening and sharing some tips for how to improve your guitar skills and coaching guitarists on your team as we look at diverse styles of music, playing, and techniques.
Dave is an accomplished songwriter with many releases, including most recently a Christmas album, and a song for the church co-written with Jake Fretz and produced in collaboration with the PAC worship collective called Your Song.
Afternoon (1:00 pm – 2:00 pm)

Leading Bands Location: Hub

Main Thought: As a leader involved in worship ministry, sometimes it can feel like we’re always behind as we plan, create, arrange, sing, play, setup and edit. How can we discover and cultivate more leaders on our teams in our churches? How can we hand things off and get out of the way more? We’ll explore what we can do to do less, coach more, and strengthen your team, church, and calling.

Drums for Worship Location: TBD
Joash Paul
Workshop: Joash will take you through several things that will take your drumming in the worship context to another level.
Joash will also be the drummer for the conference and the Compelled Worship Night!!

Mixing Sound Location: Youth Room
Justin Colyn
Workshop: Mixing sound for contemporary music in the church.
As Principal Owner and Team Lead for AVLI, Justin brings years of exprience in both live sound production, and church AVL installations. You don’t want to miss the breadth and depth of knowledge Justin will bring to this session.

Visuals and Lighting Location: 4/5 Room
Rachel Siverns
Workshop: What We See – Visual Design as Hospitality in the Church
How can our churches use visuals and design as hospitality as we gather? Screens, fonts, lights, decor, set design – all of these things can be a distraction, or they can help create a welcoming space to encourage people to respond to God in worship and lean into community. Join us to learn about principles of design, discuss our unique contexts, and gain practical tools to help us invite people into the story of the gospel through what they see.
